Before condemning the motor, rule out the simpler causes of a pump fault: a jammed impeller module, a damaged cable or a corroded plug. If the motor still will not spin, runs rough or noisy, or the app keeps flagging a pump error, it is likely due for replacement.
Fit a fresh motor sealing ring at the same time, since a tired seal can let liquid through to the motor side of the pump.
