Spray drones in Horsham, VIC
Our Horsham store is AGX's head office and the base for everything we do in western Victoria. It sells the DJI Agras range, runs demo days, repairs Agras aircraft as a DJI Authorised Repair Centre, holds the parts warehouse that ships orders Australia-wide, books training and licensing, and runs contract spraying, spreading and mapping. If you farm in the Wimmera, the southern Mallee or around the Grampians, this is your closest AGX store.
What you can do at the Horsham store
- Buy an Agras. The T100, T70P, T50 and T25P, as spray, spread and generator kits, all sold on quote. Every drone kit and bundle ships free anywhere in Australia.
- See one fly first. Demo days run from Horsham: a loaded aircraft over a real plot, the generator and refill setup, and your own numbers worked through.
- Get it fixed. The workshop is a DJI Authorised Repair Centre for crash damage, faults, servicing and warranty work, using genuine DJI parts.
- Get parts. Our parts warehouse is here, so website orders for genuine DJI spares are picked and sent from Horsham. The parts finder lets you pick a part off the exploded diagram for your aircraft.
- Get trained and licensed. Onsite Setup and Training, and the RePL, Agras type rating and ReOC, all booked through us. See training and licensing.
- Get a paddock sprayed, spread or mapped. If you would rather have the work done than buy the drone, Horsham runs contract spraying, spreading and mapping. Describe the paddock, the crop and the job, and we will come back to you.
The Wimmera, southern Mallee and Grampians
The store looks after growers right across the region: west through Natimuk and Nhill to Kaniva and Edenhope near the South Australian border, north through Dimboola, Warracknabeal and Rainbow into the southern Mallee around Hopetoun and Birchip, and east to Murtoa, Minyip, Donald, Stawell and the Grampians.
This is dryland broadacre country. Wheat, barley and canola share the rotation with pulses such as lentils and chickpeas, and plenty of farms run sheep as well. On big, open paddocks a spray drone rarely replaces the boom sprayer. It earns its place on the work a ground rig can't get onto or around: paddocks too wet to drive after rain, fungicide and insecticide passes where timing matters, weeds along fence lines and around dams and paddock trees, and spreading seed or fertiliser without wheel tracks.
For that work the T100 and T70P are the natural starting point. They carry the biggest tanks and spreaders in the range and share the DB2160 battery and C12000 charging station. The C12000 wants a three-phase supply of at least 15 kW to charge at full speed, so if the shed can't provide that, a generator kit with DJI's D14000iE may suit better. The T50 is the proven all-rounder, and the T25P suits smaller blocks and one-person operations.
Licensing in Victoria
Two regulators are involved. CASA covers the flying: every Agras we sell takes off above 25 kg, so the pilot needs a RePL with a type rating for that model, even on their own land, and spraying for payment also needs a ReOC. Victoria licenses the chemical side through Agriculture Victoria. Whoever operates the drone needs an agricultural aircraft operator licence, and whoever flies it needs a pilot (chemical rating) licence.
Our spray drone licensing guide sets out the order to tackle it all in, and Agriculture Victoria's drone licence page has the current forms and fees.
Parts and repairs through Horsham
Website parts orders ship from the Horsham warehouse: an in-stock part ordered before 2:00 pm is dispatched the next business day, with tracking by email. Postage is a flat rate set by the size of the part; the shipping page has the rates. If an aircraft is grounded mid-job, ring first and we will check the shelf before you pay.
For a repair, send photos through the repairs form so a technician can quote and give you a turnaround before the aircraft leaves the farm. Then drop it at the Horsham workshop, or we will help arrange freight. Flight batteries are dangerous goods and need a compliant carrier, so talk to us before sending one.
Book a demo at Horsham
Use the demo booking form and tell us where you farm and what you grow. We ring to confirm a date, which aircraft will be flying and what to bring. It costs nothing and there is no obligation to buy. Bring your paddock maps and your contract rates if you have them: the useful part of the day is working through your own numbers.
