Privacy Policy

AGX Drone Distributors (a registered business name of Propulsion Ag Pty Ltd, ABN 15 685 071 514) handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

What we collect

  • Enquiry and quote details. When you use our contact, quote, finance, insurance or spray-enquiry forms we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, suburb, the product you asked about, the finance or insurance amount where you give one, and whatever you write in your message.
  • Order details. When you buy from us we collect your name, contact details, delivery address and the items you ordered, so we can fulfil and support the sale.
  • How you found us. With an enquiry, chat or order we also record how you arrived at our site: the website or search engine that sent you (its address only, not what you searched for), any campaign tags on the link, the page you landed on and when. Your browser keeps this until you contact us, and it tells us which of our advertising and pages are worth the effort.
  • Where you wrote from. With an enquiry we record the IP address it was sent from and the rough location that address points to (usually a town and state), and with a chat just the rough location. It helps us tell real enquiries from spam and see which districts our customers farm in. It is not precise enough to find your property, and on mobile data it often shows your carrier's nearest city instead.
  • Service and warranty records. Equipment serial numbers, fault descriptions and claim history, kept so we can support your gear over its working life. A warranty claim made through this site also keeps the photos, videos and proof of purchase you upload and the updates we post on the claim. Anyone who has your case number can see the claim's status and those updates, but not your contact details, so share the number only with people you want to see them.
  • Payment confirmation only. Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own systems. Your card number never touches our servers and we never see or store it; we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded.

Why we collect it

We use your information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, process and deliver orders, register and manage manufacturer warranties, provide servicing, and meet our tax and consumer law record-keeping obligations. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Website analytics and session recordings

We use PostHog, an analytics service, to see how people use this website and to find and fix problems with it. As you browse, PostHog records the pages you visit, what you click, errors your browser runs into, and a replay of your visit: what was on screen, how you scrolled and moved around, and what you typed into our forms, search box and chat, including anything you typed but didn't send. It tells repeat visits apart with a random ID kept in a cookie and your browser's storage rather than your name, but a replay shows whatever you typed, such as your name and contact details in an enquiry form. PostHog stores this data on servers in the United States.

Passwords and card numbers are blanked out as you type them, and Stripe's payment form is never recorded. Please don't send card details through our forms or chat; we never ask for them there. We use this information only to improve the site and our service, never for advertising, and you can ask us to delete the recording of your visit (see below).

We also count visits and measure page speed with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which use no cookies and don't identify you.

Where it is stored and who sees it

Order and enquiry records are held in our website's database, and correspondence is delivered through our email provider. Access is limited to AGX staff who need it to serve you. We share information only where the job requires it: your name, address and phone number go to the carrier delivering your order; serial numbers and contact details go to DJI or FJ Dynamics when lodging a warranty claim; your enquiry details go to our finance or insurance partner when, and only when, you have asked us to arrange finance or cover; and we disclose information where the law requires it.

We never sell your data. Some of our service providers (such as our payment, email and analytics providers) may store data on servers located outside Australia; we use reputable providers with their own privacy safeguards.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@agxdrone.com.au or call 1300 916 075 and we will respond within a reasonable time. Note that we must keep some transaction records for the periods required by Australian tax law, even after a deletion request.

Questions or complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If our reply doesn't settle the matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
