Spray drones in Manjimup, WA
Our Manjimup store is AGX's base in Western Australia, looking after growers and contractors across the Warren-Blackwood and the wider South West. Come here for Agras sales and demo days, genuine parts, training and licensing bookings, and a DJI Authorised Repair Centre workshop, so a grounded aircraft doesn't have to cross the country to be fixed. The store also runs contract spraying, spreading and mapping.
What the Manjimup store does
- Sales. The full Agras range, from the T25P and T50 that suit horticulture to the T70P and T100 for large areas. Spray drones are sold on quote, and every drone kit and bundle ships free, WA included.
- Demo days. See an Agras work before you buy one, with the charging and refill setup laid out the way it runs on a job.
- Repairs. A DJI Authorised Repair Centre workshop in Manjimup for crash damage, faults, servicing and warranty work.
- Parts. Genuine DJI spares for the T100, T70P, T50 and T25P, found by part number or on the parts finder diagrams.
- Training and licensing. RePL courses are delivered by a CASA-certified training organisation we partner with, and we book them and handle the paperwork, along with the Agras type rating and your ReOC application. Onsite Setup and Training covers Victoria and southern NSW as standard; for WA, travel is quoted on request. See training and licensing.
- Contract spraying, spreading and mapping. If you would rather have the work done than buy the drone, tell us about the block, the crop and the job on the contract spraying page and we will come back to you.
The Warren-Blackwood and the South West
From Manjimup the store looks after growers south to Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole, east to Boyup Brook, west to Nannup, north through Bridgetown, Greenbushes and Balingup to Donnybrook, and on across the wider South West.
It is a very different mix from the wheatbelt. The Southern Forests and the Blackwood Valley grow apples and other orchard fruit, avocados, wine grapes, potatoes and vegetables, with beef and dairy on the pasture country in between. Blocks tend to be smaller and less regular than broadacre paddocks, with tree lines, windbreaks, dams and slopes, and the crop next door may be sensitive to drift. That changes what you want from a drone: precise placement, terrain following on hills, and a machine that can get on when the ground is too soft for a tractor.
The T25P suits much of that work. One person can fold it into a ute and fly it, and it charges from DJI's D6000i generator, or from the C8000 station on a generator of at least 6 kW. The T50 carries 40 L for bigger pasture and vegetable jobs; its C8000 station needs at least 8 kW single-phase with both 15 A leads, and the T50 Generator Kits bring a D14000iE instead.
Licensing in Western Australia
The CASA side is the same in every state: a RePL, a type rating for your Agras model, and a ReOC once you spray for payment. The chemical side is where WA differs from Victoria. Applying agricultural chemicals from any aircraft, drones included, comes under the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Aerial Application) Regulations 2018, which DPIRD administers. The person applying needs Spraysafe pilot accreditation or an approved equivalent, with a narrower requirement for landowners spraying their own land unpaid (see the questions below).
Paid work can bring further requirements, so read our spray drone licensing guide and DPIRD's aerial application page before you start.
Parts and repairs in the South West
Start a repair with a few photos on the repairs form. A technician quotes the job and gives you a turnaround, and you bring the aircraft into Manjimup when it suits. Lithium flight batteries are dangerous goods, so ring before you freight one anywhere.
Parts ordered on the website are dispatched from our Horsham warehouse in Victoria at the flat rates on the shipping page. Transit is typically 2 to 6 business days depending on distance, and remote WA addresses can take longer. If an aircraft is grounded mid-season, ring 1300 916 075 before you order and we will tell you the quickest way to get the part to you.
Book a demo in Manjimup
A demo is the best way to judge a drone against your own blocks. Use the demo booking form, tell us you are in the South West and what you grow, and we will ring to set a date at Manjimup and confirm the aircraft and what to bring. There is no cost and no obligation. If you are weighing up a T25P against a T50 for orchard or vineyard work, say so when you book.
