Swap out a screw with a chewed head, rust, or threads that are pulled or bent. The landing gear takes a jolt on every touchdown, so tighten these fasteners firmly and check them again after the first few flights. If a locknut is undone along with the screw, fit a new M4 stainless locknut (callout 14) rather than reusing it.
