A shell cracked by an impact, by over-tightening, or by water freezing inside it will let mix escape and can let the pump draw air, so flow drops or turns uneven. Look for hairline cracks around the fittings and screw points.
With the shell open, check the pump sealing ring and the centrifugal valve rubber pad, and renew any that are flattened. If flow faults continue with a sound shell, the impeller pump motor may need a test at our Horsham or Manjimup workshop.
