A spring that went missing during a strip-down, has corroded, or has lost its tension can be replaced on its own. The photo on the parts diagram shows four of these springs laid out together, so count how many need replacing before you order. Its partner, the power distribution module spring pad, is callout 18 on the same sheet, and the two are worth inspecting together.
Put the new spring next to the old one before fitting. If the old spring is noticeably shorter or bent out of line, it has lost its set. Work over a tray when the front frame is apart, because springs this size are easily lost.
