As a frame member at the nose, it takes the load when the front of the aircraft meets the ground or an obstacle. Check for bends, dents, cracking around the fixing holes and brackets that no longer line up; a distorted tube can pull the camera and sensor mounts out of alignment.
In the parts photo the tube is pictured on its own. The brackets, screws and the B0 and B1 power cable clamps are separate numbered parts on the same sheet, so check those too and order any that are damaged.
Before stripping the old tube, photograph how the brackets, clamps and cables are fitted so they go back the same way. It is also a sensible time to renew the FPV sealing foam and to replace any screw with a rounded head or damaged thread rather than refitting it.
