FJD ATS Ultra PWM Spray Tip Control System

Single-nozzle precision. Less pesticide. The FJD ATS Ultra is a PWM spray tip control system with independent control for up to 160 nozzles. Using pulse width modulation and alternating nozzle technology, it holds stable pressure and spray rates through turns and speed changes, cutting overlaps, skips, and boundary errors, and saving 30-40% on pesticides compared with conventional spraying.

How PWM works

Pulse width modulation adjusts the duty cycle of each nozzle's solenoid valve to control flow rate without changing pressure. High-frequency electromagnetic control gives fast response and high precision, while duty-cycle adjustment keeps pressure constant for consistent flow.

Alternating nozzle operation

Instead of switching every nozzle on and off at once, neighbouring nozzles alternate at high frequency. Hydraulic pressure stays steady, spray pulsing stops, and coverage is smoother across the boom.

Consistent rate control

Spray rates adjust in real time to vehicle speed, with nozzles switching at up to 20 Hz across a 30-70% duty cycle for uniform coverage at any pace. Import a prescription map and the system applies the exact prescribed rate to each zone, reducing waste while boosting future yields.

Turn compensation

In a turn, inner nozzles normally overspray while outer nozzles underspray. Flow compensation algorithms adjust each nozzle's duty cycle individually so application stays consistent across every inch of the field.

Boundary operation control

Each nozzle turns off individually at field boundaries. Where section control shuts off whole nozzle groups, individual control gives cleaner edges, less chemical waste, and better efficiency along the fence line.
