Spray aircraft get washed down often, and this cover is part of what keeps that water off the ESC. A cracked, warped or broken cover, or one with damaged fixing points, should be swapped.
Fit a new bus cover rubber seal at the same time, sit it flat, then tighten the cover evenly. The three-phase cable waterproof cover at callout 47 is the matching cover on the three-phase side.
