Sprinkler fittings like this can go missing or crack when the sprinkler is stripped for cleaning, or be damaged when the lance strikes a post or the ground on a heavy landing. Compare the old part against the diagram before ordering, since the lance carries several small fittings. Lay the sprinkler parts out in order as they come off so the bracket goes back in its original position, then turn the disk by hand to confirm nothing rubs.
A knock hard enough to break the bracket can reach the centrifugal motor too, so listen for roughness when the sprinkler next runs.
