About
Specifications and fitment
This fan-cooled station holds a DB2160 flight battery from a DJI Agras T100, T70P or FlyCart 100 while it charges, drawing off the heat of the last flight so a pack can go on charge straight off the aircraft rather than being left to cool first.
| Works with | DJI DB2160 Intelligent Flight Battery (DJI Agras T100, T70P; DJI FlyCart 100) |
| Batteries per charge | One at a time, as DJI's manual instructs |
| Cooling | Fan-forced air behind a protective mesh, switching on automatically according to battery temperature during charging |
| Charging | The charger's cable plugs into the station, and the battery charges while seated in it |
DJI's T100, T70P and FlyCart 100 manuals call this accessory the air-cooled heat sink. A battery that is hot after flight is meant to go into it, or into another heat-dissipating device, for charging, as the charge may otherwise be refused. DJI gives 0 to 60 °C as the charging range and 22 to 28 °C as the ideal band. The D14000iE generator spec sheet lists a dedicated 12 V, 6 A output for the air-cooled radiator, and DJI's guide for the C12000 charger has the charging cable connected to the heat sink before the battery goes in.
- Set it up in shade with the air inlets and outlets clear.
- Brush dust, chaff and spray residue off the protective mesh and fan often so air keeps moving, but never hose it down: DJI says not to rinse it with water.
- Charge one battery at a time, as DJI advises, so heat dissipation is not compromised.
- Unplug the charging cable from the station before moving it with a battery still connected, to save the cable from wear.
- Lift the battery out by hand; DJI warns against standing on the station to free a pack.
