A crankcase body is usually only replaced after serious damage, such as a casting cracked by an impact, a failed con rod through the case or worn bearing bores. It is a full engine rebuild: the internals, including the balance shaft module, move across and new bearings, seals and gaskets go in, so most owners have it done in a workshop. Drain the oil and fuel and disconnect the starter battery before lifting the engine out. This is DJI's upgraded-version casting. D14000iE units built with a Rato engine take different engine parts, so check the engine label before ordering.
