A bent, loose or missing baffle lets air bypass the controller, so it runs hotter than it should under load. Check it is straight and firmly fixed whenever the Controller Trim Panel is off, and clear dust, chaff and spray residue from the air path. It works with the Controller Air Guide Back Plate to channel air past the Generator Controller. Let the generator cool before reaching in. This is a Zongshen (ZS) build part. Units fitted with a Rato engine use different engine parts, so check the engine label first.
