The link between remote controller and drone is strongest when nothing stands between the antennas. Gullies, hills, orchard rows, windbreaks and farm buildings all get in the way, and the usual sign is a signal that weakens or drops as the aircraft works down the far side of a block. The relay fills that gap: stand it on high ground or a raised mount that can see both where you fly from and the area being treated, and the link is passed through it.

Its IP55 rating covers dust and water jets, so it can stay out in the field while you work. The five-hour figure assumes a full charge, so top it up between jobs, and check it connects to your controller at the shed before heading out rather than finding a problem at the far end of the property.
