It pairs with the carburettor insulator, with the carburettor gasket sealing the other face. DJI keeps the carburettor name for this position even though the engine is fuel-injected. A torn or flattened gasket lets in extra air, which can cause an unsteady idle or rough running. Fit a new one whenever the intake is apart, and check the intake port studs at the same time.
The D12000i prefix in DJI's name only shows where it catalogued the part first. D14000iE units built with a Rato engine take different engine parts, so check the engine label before ordering.
