Heat-insulating spacer on the intake of the DJI D14000iE generator's Zongshen engine, keeping cylinder head heat away from the fuel and air parts at the carburettor position.

DJI still calls this the carburettor insulator, although the engine is fuel-injected. Its job is to stop heat soaking from the head into the throttle and fuel components. Replace it if it is cracked, warped or chipped, or if the bolt holes have worn oval and it no longer clamps evenly.
It is sealed by the carburettor insulator gasket on one face and the carburettor gasket on the other, and both are worth renewing at the same time. This suits the Zongshen engine only: D14000iE units built with a Rato engine take different engine parts, so check the engine label first.
