A worn seal shows up as blue smoke at start-up or after idling, oily spark plug tips and steady oil use between changes. It is usually renewed whenever the intake valve is removed or the head is overhauled, along with a worn valve spring and new valve lock clamps. DJI's Chinese name describes it as an oil shield assembly, and DJI first catalogued it for the D12000i. D14000iE units built with a Rato engine take different engine parts, so check the engine label before ordering.
