A fan with cracked, chipped or missing blades runs out of balance and moves less air, which shows up as extra vibration, noise and an engine that runs hot. Keep the intake screen and air guide shrouds clear of chaff, seed and dust as well, since a blocked inlet does the same damage as a broken fan. Let the engine cool and disconnect the starter battery before removing the shrouds. Check the ignition coil and its lead while the fan is exposed. D14000iE units built with a Rato engine take different engine parts, so check the engine label before ordering.
