DJI's Chinese description calls this the clamping plate for the air-guide back panel, so it holds a panel in place rather than shielding the muffler on its own. Compare it with the part on your machine before ordering, or contact us with the generator's serial number and a photo. Replace it if bent or rusted. Let the engine cool fully before working near the exhaust muffler or the muffler outer cover.
DJI marks it as a Zongshen (ZS) part; units built with a Rato engine take different parts, so check the engine label.
